Lemont, IL…Asolar eclipse is happening on April 8th. State Representative Nicole La Ha is taking steps to ensure the safety and enjoyment of her constituents. In collaboration with the Illinois Optometric Association, Rep. La Ha will be providing free eclipse glasses at her district office for safe viewing of this rare event.
“Experiencing a solar eclipse is a rare and awe-inspiring event,” said Rep. La Ha. “However, it’s important that we do it safely! I’m grateful for this partnership with the Illinois Optometric Association, allowing us to provide these eclipse glasses to our community.”
The Illinois Optometric Association has generously provided the eclipse glasses, which meet the necessary safety standards for viewing solar events. Constituents interested in obtaining free eclipse glasses can visit Rep. Nicole La Ha’s district office at 106 Stephen Street Suite 102 B in Lemont during regular office hours, 8:30am-4:30pm Mon-Fri.
