Veto Session Begins Tomorrow! Watch Live.

State Representative Nicole La Ha released the following statement before the upcoming Veto Session in the Illinois House of Representatives:

“Veto Session starts tomorrow, and I’m proud to represent you in Springfield.

There’s a lot on the line, and I’m committed to making sure your voice is heard.

Veto Session was once a time to review the governor’s vetoes from the spring. In recent years, it’s become an opportunity for last-minute proposals, rushed votes, and costly tax hikes that impact working families.

This year, Democrats are expected to call up an “omnibus” energy package that could send electricity costs even higher, along with new taxes on deliveries, takeout orders, and everyday services like plumbing, lawn care, and home maintenance.

I’ll be standing up for families, seniors, and small businesses, pushing for responsible solutions that strengthen our communities and make life more affordable across Illinois.

Rep. Nicole La Ha proudly serves the people of the 82nd District.
