Lemont, IL)…The National Foundation for Women Legislators (NFWL) is proud to announce State Representative Nicole La Ha (R-Lemont) as a 2024 Elected Women of Excellence Award winner.
“I’m honored to be named a 2024 Elected Women of Excellence Award Winner,” Rep. La Ha said. “It’s humbling to be recognized among such an amazing group of women who have done so much for the communities they serve.”
This award was created to identify women who have worked tirelessly, often breaking down barriers and overcoming obstacles to serve their communities. These pacesetters have created an environment where women can now serve in public office and fight for the issues they are passionate about.
The 2024 Women of Excellence winners will be presented with an award during NFWL’s 2024 Annual Conference in Atlanta, Georgia. The reception will bring together elected women conference attendees from across the country to recognize the accomplishments of Women of Excellence Award Winners.
“NFWL is built on the spirit of celebrating the remarkable accomplishments of hardworking, dedicated women, and we are thrilled to honor this year’s outstanding leaders,” says NFWL Executive Director Jody Thomas.
Rep. Nicole La Ha currently serves as the State Representative for Illinois’ 82nd District, which includes Willowbrook, Burr Ridge, Willow Springs, Darien, Western Springs, Homer Glen, Lemont, and portions of Countryside, Downers Grove, Hickory Hills, Hinsdale, Indian Head Park, LaGrange, Justice, Orland Park, Palos Park, and Woodridge. She is passionate about public service and committed to addressing the needs of her community.
The winners were nominated by their colleagues and constituents from their home states before being chosen by a distinguished panel of NFWL members.
“We congratulate our winners from this year and look forward presenting them with their award in November,” Thomas concludes.
