“I recently joined Illinois Insider with State Senator Seth Lewis to talk about something that means a great deal to me personally.
It’s an honor to serve as co-chair of the very first Illinois General Assembly caucus dedicated to neurodiversity. This is a long-overdue step forward for families across our state who are navigating challenges that too often go unseen or unheard.
Parents, educators, and caregivers have been speaking up for years. They’ve been asking for better support, clearer pathways to resources, and a deeper understanding of what their children and loved ones face every day. This caucus creates a space to listen, to learn, and to take meaningful action.
I’m grateful for the opportunity to help lead this effort and to be a voice for families who deserve to be seen, supported, and empowered.”
