Cerebral Palsy Awareness Day

State Representative Nicole La Ha released the following statement for Cerebral Palsy Awareness Day:

“Today is Cerebral Palsy Awareness Day, and throughout the month of March, we recognize Cerebral Palsy Awareness Month.

For our family, this is personal. For the past seven years, we’ve walked this journey alongside our daughter, Ashlynn. She has changed the way we see the world and continues to show us what strength, determination, and joy look like every single day.

We’ve seen progress in more inclusive playgrounds, adaptive programs, and growing awareness in our communities. Those are meaningful steps, and they matter to families like ours.

At the same time, there is more ahead. Families are still navigating challenges in education, healthcare, and long-term opportunities. These are real needs that deserve real attention.

This month, we wear green to show our support and to help bring greater awareness to those living with cerebral palsy.

If you know someone with CP, take a moment today to listen, to learn, and to stand with them.

You are seen, you are valued, and you are not alone.”
