Lemont, IL…State Representative La Ha is launching her Summer Reading Program to encourage students Kindergarten-6th Grade to keep the learning going while school is out.
The challenge is simple: read 10 books over summer break! Books from local library programs count, and if a book is over 150 pages, it can count as two. Once students finish their reading list, they just need to fill out their Summer Reading Log online at https://replaha.com/summer-reading-program/ by August 8th.
Every student who completes the challenge will receive a personalized Certificate of Achievement from Rep. La Ha, presented in person.
“Reading opens the door to imagination, knowledge, and lifelong learning,” said Rep. La Ha. “I’m thrilled to encourage students to stay engaged with learning over the summer and I’m excited to celebrate their accomplishments together.”
