Lemont, IL…Senator John Curran (R-Downers Grove) and State Representative Nicole La Ha (R-Homer Glen) are joining forces to host a job fair on Wednesday, April 9, 2025, from 9:00 am to noon at the CORE Fitness Center, located at 16050 W. 127th Street in Lemont. Admission to the event and both workshops are FREE to potential job seekers.
“We are looking forward to connecting anyone interested in entering the workforce or looking for new career opportunities with local business leaders,” said Curran. “We encourage anyone who is thinking about taking their life and work into a new direction to join us for this free event.”
Attendees are encouraged to dress in business wear, bring multiple copies of their resumes and come prepared for on-the-spot interviews. The job fair will feature over 70 employers, including large employers and multiple state and local agencies ready to hire for various positions.
“No matter where you are in your employment journey, this event will give you an idea of what opportunities are out there,” said LaHa. “I hope anyone interested in growing their career will consider joining us and dozens of employers at this local fair.”
There will also be three free workshops for attendees throughout the event:
9:00 am – How to Navigate through the State of Illinois Hiring Process
10:00 am – Selling Your Strengths & Enhancing Your Brand
11:00 am – Inside Track on How to Interview with Confidence
