Yesterday, State Representative Nicole La Ha attended a police chief forum. Following the event, she released the following statement:
“A heartfelt thank you to Lemont Police Chief Marc Maton, who also serves as the President of the Illinois Association of Chiefs of Police, for hosting an insightful Police Chief Forum. It was an honor to sit down with law enforcement leaders, including Chiefs Lauren Kaspar (Willowbrook), Greg Thomas (Darien), Marc Loftus (Burr Ridge), Joe Miller (Palos Park), and Will County Undersheriff Brian Conser.
Hearing directly from them about the challenges and needs within their communities was eye-opening and incredibly helpful. Their dedication to protecting our families and neighborhoods is nothing short of inspiring.
I left the forum with a renewed commitment to work alongside these leaders to ensure they have the tools, resources, and support to do their jobs to the fullest. These conversations are so important, and I’m grateful for the opportunity to listen and learn from those who serve on the front lines every day.
Thank you again to Chief Maton and all the participants for sharing your time, experiences, and insights. I look forward to partnering with you to strengthen our communities and support the incredible work you do.”
Rep. La Ha proudly serves the people of the 82nd District.
