World Cerebral Palsy Day

State Representative Nicole La Ha released the following statement in recognition of World Cerebral Palsy Day.

“Today is World Cerebral Palsy Day!!💚

It is observed annually on October 6 to raise awareness and advocate for the rights of individuals living with cerebral palsy (CP). This day serves as a reminder of the challenges faced by those affected by CP and underscores the importance of support and inclusion in society.

World Cerebral Palsy Day 2024 holds significant importance by bringing together individuals, families, and organizations to share information and resources about CP. CP affects movement and coordination, presenting challenges such as muscle control, balance, and mobility difficulties. By commemorating this day, the goal is to foster a more inclusive environment where the voices and needs of people with CP are recognized and addressed.

We love our CP warrior princess Ashlynn Grace! 💚
