Darien, IL…State Representative Nicole La Ha (R-Darien) and State Senator John Curran (R-Downers Grove) are proud to announce their free community recycling event to be held on Saturday, July 27, in the Hinsdale South High School parking lot, located at 7401 Clarendon Hills Road in Darien. The event will run from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
Residents are invited to bring a variety of acceptable items for recycling, including cables, cell phones, computers, printers, game systems, holiday lights, and more. Please note that certain items, such as TVs, hazardous waste, and large appliances, will not be accepted.
“We are committed to helping our community responsibly dispose of electronics and other recyclable items,” said Rep. La Ha. “This event is a great opportunity for residents to clear out unwanted items from their homes in an environmentally friendly way.”
Senator John Curran echoed this sentiment, emphasizing the importance of such initiatives for the community. “Recycling events like this not only help reduce clutter but also promote a cleaner and healthier environment for all of us,” stated Sen. Curran. “We encourage everyone to participate and take advantage of this free service.”
