Lemont, IL…State Representative Nicole La Ha, a staunch advocate for veterans’ rights and the daughter of a Marine Corps Veteran, joined Senate Leader John Curran’s Veteran Advisory Council to address the pressing issues facing veterans in Illinois. Rep. Nicole La Ha is committed to listening to veterans’ concerns, developing better policies, and ensuring they receive the support they deserve.
“As the daughter of a Marine Corps Veteran, I understand the sacrifices our veterans have made for our nation,” Rep. La Ha said. “It’s time we make them a priority and ensure they receive the support and assistance they need. I am proud to join Senator Curran’s Veteran Advisory Council to hear firsthand from veterans on changes we can make to positively impact their lives.”
Rep. La Ha is proudly co-sponsoring the following legislation to benefit veterans:
HB 3538 to no longer require disabled veterans to submit an annual application for the homestead exemption.
HB 1222 to provide financial assistance for home modifications for disabled veterans.
HB 2334 to reduce vehicle registration fees for veterans.
HB 3463 to increase property tax exemptions for disabled veterans.
